The increasing frequency of natural disasters in refugee camps has highlighted the urgent need for a dependable power source. In humanitarian camps, reliable supply is essential meeting basic daily needs residents. However, conventional systems these often experience interruptions. To address this issue, microgrids have emerged as viable solution. Although several studies recognized resilience benefits microgrids, their application been relatively limited. Hence, study presents grid-tied microgrid that combines photovoltaic and battery systems, designed using REopt lite web version software, to fulfill energy requirements Rohingya refugees selected camp located Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar. Additionally, introduces four new indicators evaluate performance system. findings reveal proposed consists 5685 kW capacity 9011 kWh capacity, enabling it handle 15 h outage resulting substantial life-cycle savings USD 2,956,737. payback period resilient system calculated be 6.37 years, with an internal rate return (IRR) 12.2%. Furthermore, emits fewer emissions compared other analysed modes operation, emphasizing its sustainability. conclusion, successfully enhances reliability camps.
